Please always take a moment to remember all those who have served our regiments today and in the past that are no longer with us and spare a thought for the families and friends who mourn their Loss having made the ultimate sacrifice.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning,

We will remember them.

Our visit to the Arboretum on 4th June 2015 went off without a hitch, with an overnight stay in the local Premier Inn and an meal on the evening prior to the visit. The weather on the day was superb. We all met at the sponsored tree on the Mall for photos.  We then moved on the the Guards memorial where a wreath was laid and each of the regiments dedications was read those regiments not represented was read by a volenteer from our group.  A more detailed account of the visit will be published in the next newsletter.

We have also had our Battle of Waterloo Bicentenary Dinner which was well attended at the Bowling Green at Wheely. Perspex obolisks formed the various table centers which had images of the key protagonists and descriptions of key stages of the battle. And members alos decorated the area wiyh some of their own favorite piece of artwork.  A more detailed account of the dinner will be bublished in the next newsletter.

Next up is the inaugural annual clay fun shoot this will take place on Saturday 18th July more detailed timings and location will be issued later. Trophys and Medals have been Purchased so please give this event your support.
